My name is Namakando Akayombokwa Dutton.I have received a full scholarship to attend Wenzhou University in China. The scholarship covers tuition and accommodation. I currently need funds in order to finance the visa, air ticket and other expenses that will be incurred. I would be very appreciative of any donations or loans as it would relieve my parents of some of the financial burden. Both my parents are retired and living in Zimbabwe, which is currently going through an economic crisis. Any donations that I recieve would be a huge relief and would help me achieve my goals.
I am a Zambian national with permanent residence in Zimbabwe. I attended Chisipite Senior School in Harare Zimbabwe. Whilst at Chisipite I pursued my IGCSES, as well as my A levels. I had a particular interest in the sciences. I therefore did Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. I then went on to do Physics in 2013. I did my IGCSE and A level Physics in the same year. I did my IGCSE in the June examinations and my A level in November. I achieved the highest mark in Zimbabwe for the IGCSE Physics exam.
While in high school I participated in a number of clubs and sports. I was part of the athletics and basketball teams. I was President of the Current Affairs Club. I was also a member of the Debate team, the Interact club (which works with Rotary International) and the Orators society which focused on public speaking. I was a member of the traditional choir as well (Authentic Voices of Africa.
I am the only child of Beatrice and Gordon Dutton. My father is a retired mechanical engineer and my mother is a retired administrator.
I would like to start a degree in biotechnology as I have always had a love for the sciences. I am passionate about learning about all the developments made in technology and how they can be applied to organisms and use organisms. I would like to use the degree in the pharmaceutical industry. I am fascinated in the development of pharmaceuticals that prevent or cure many of the afflictions around the world.
