Campaign Story
Hi, my name is Timeeka Govender, I am a 22 year undergrad, Biomedical student that is in my final year of my degree. My dream is to one day become a doctor so that I will be able to help my community.To enable me to achieve this dream I need to first qualify in my current qualification.Unfortunately due to personal circumstances beyond my control I am unable to fund my current year of studies.Both my parents lost their jobs in 2019 and had to relocate to KZN to live with family.To enable me to continue with my studies I am currently living at my friend’s house.
I have worked hard throughout my undergrad and achieved several distinctions, my current academic average is 75 %. My parents are unable to fund the rest of my studies as they do not have much income coming in and they also have to provide for my two younger siblings. In addition to this they have existing student loans that they took out for me previously.
I have applied to numerous Universities to study MBChB in 2021, unfortunately I am unable to complete these applications as they require me to submit by 2020 midterm results by the end of August 2020. I am unable to obtain this as I have outstanding fees. I have spoken to the university and they are unable to assist me unless the fees are paid (R61 800.00).
