Campaign Story
The United Township Dancers (UTD) is a group of dancers in the township of Khayelitsha, South Africa.
Led by Stoan "Move" Galela, UTD has been transforming lives by providing disadvantaged youth with the opportunity to engage in an expressive and liberating extramural activity – a unique type of African electric dance known as Gqom.
The kids participate in the dance classes for free however safe spaces to host the classes in are scarce.
With your help, it is Stoan’s dream to build a facility (and home) for his students.

I just watched your documentary “My Father the Mover”. You have a gift of love that inspires. Your words were so profound and resonates a fundamental truth that our spirits are limitless. “I am breaking away from fears… rules… so I can become me.” Giving the children a place to be free to be themselves will change the world.

Dear Donor, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing this letter to thank you for contributing towards my goal of providing free dance classes to the kids of Khayelitsha. Unfortunately it has been 2 years now raising funds and we have not reached the target funds to. . . . .
