The Widow's Gift launched in Uganda for its first meal in July this year and has since, gathered around 30 widow led families together over a warm nutritious meal once a month.

This creates a platform for vital social connection for those overcoming loss and helps widows forge their own support network.

We work in collabouration with a local NGO partner as we believe in working autonomously with our beneficiaries in context to the socio economic challenges in their community.

Each month our local team cook and serve traditional Ugandan dishes such as matooke sbd fish stew to around 200 members including the children, costing just £1.50 per person.

The community created through our soul food project leads to further developement into skills training and small business cooperatives - made possible by bringing widows together yo share, console and encourage.
