Help give Unity Allstars Gold the opportunity to showcase their talents in an international competition...
Unity Allstars Gold are England’s first ever competitive Special Needs cheerleading team for young people with a range of learning, sensory and physical disabilities in the Peterborough area. We provide a sport club to a group who may have restricted access to sport and activity. "To see the faces of these young people achieve and build their self confidence is just incredible".
Unity Allstars Gold (previously known as Unity Superstars) are really leading the way for special needs teams across the UK. They have been in existence now for nearly four years and in that time have celebrated many successes. They have performed at local events, including the London 2012 Olympic torch relay at Wansford, as well as having competed at ICC and Future Cheer competitions, both at a regional and national level.
The team also represented the UK at the very prestigious USASF Cheerleading Worlds Championships in Florida, USA in 2010. Not only did many dreams come true in America, many were created which is what the Unity Allstars Gold are about: striving for excellence and being the best they can.
The coaching staff inspire, challenge and believe in these talented athletes. It is for this reason we hope to take the team to compete in an international competition in France. With some members of the team unable to fly, this competition will be accessible to all and give the young people an opportunity to showcase their talents on an international platform.
The club operates with volunteer coaches who run the club on a 'non profit' basis. We are always thinking of new and innovative fundraising ideas to cover costs and our next challenge is getting our team to France! Please support these talented young people to make this exciting dream a reality.
