Campaign Story
Hello!
We are Magdalena Towarek and Anna Medgyesi, two young doctors from Poland and Hungary who share their passion for medicine and helping others.
In November 2022 we’re going to do voluntary work in Longido, close to Arusha in Tanzania. Our main goal is helping Maasai tribes from the poorest areas of Tanzania in development and health care.
Hereby we kindly ask for a support, which will help realize the project. As young doctors we are not able to cover all costs on our own.
How do we want to help? By:
· Treatment of infectious and civilization diseases, wounds and injuries, perform basic research, consultations for pregnant women,
· Education about disease prevention, hygiene, menstruation, pregnancy (LACK OF KNOWLEDGE = HIGHER RISK OF DISEASE = HIGHER MORTALITY AND POVERTY)
· Providing the most needed products for the families: medicines, food, hygiene products, clothes.
The collected funds will be used in particular for the purchase of: food, medicines, wound dressings, blood glucose test strips, sanitary and hygienic measures and teaching aids (books, notebooks, games).
We collaborate with the Supai e. V. International Cooperation for Development Foundation. For many years, the organization has been supporting the development of the Masai community in Tanzania near the city of Arusha, among others by building infrastructure (8 schools, clinics, utility rooms, currently building a dormitory for school girls and a house for volunteers), and organizing the education of children.

EVERY FINANCIAL OR MATERIAL SUPPORT IS EXTREMELY VALUABLE FOR US. YOUR HELP WILL CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVE THE EVERYDAY LIFE OF THE MASSAY COMMUNITY. THEIR DEVELOPMENT IS IMPORTANT FOR BETTER FUTURE TO THE YOUNGEST. THANK YOU

Update posted by Anna Medgyesi at 09:49 amSorry for being late with updates we purchased these products on the second week of our stay. After we did an inventory of the medicines we had here, we wanted to buy more and also some basic equipments for the medical center, to be able to start to work:)
Menstruation pads and underwear
Update posted by Anna Medgyesi at 09:41 amNext to our medical job, we also fight against menstruation poverty. Magda managed to buy 50 reusable pads in Poland. After we arrived we bought also 50 underwear here in Arusha. Most of the girls haven’t known how to use these products, but today we have all learnt it together.
