Turtle Conservation Research

I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted to participate in a turtle conservation research project in June of 2020. On this research project I will gain amazing experience working with up to four different species of sea turtles. I will be helping these turtles by moving their eggs to a hatchery to keep them away from poachers along with learning tagging and other data collecting techniques. I will also get the opportunity to help release the newly hatched sea turtles, participate in beach clean ups, and replant mangroves. During the project I will be taking courses to learn more Spanish, and to learn as much as possible about the culture in Costa Rica. An additional amazing opportunity I will be able to be a part of is to take the scuba certification course while I am there. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that will help me succeed in my studies, and may help me one day into my dream job. This money would be put towards the program fee, flight, and scuba lessons involved. Any amount is appreciated!
