Campaign Story
Hello everyone,
My name is Sunny,
I have been acting and singing since I was 10 years old at youth theatre groups and school within the local area. Over the past 2 years it has been financially difficult to continue my classes or have the full range of singing dancing and acting classes needed to to be in the theatre arts but have managed to keep up singing and acting, through the support of my dedicated and inspiring teachers and my mum. Because of this I have excelled in the 2 areas:- singing and acting and therefore I have been succesful in securing a foundation year place at SLP musical theatre college in Leeds (England) where i will be fully supported to continue to develop in dance (which I so badly need for musical theatre), singing and acting due to the potential that the principal and staff have told me I have.
Why I Need Your Support
I have the opportunity of a 50% scholarship towards the course fees however I must raise the rest needed towards my fees, uniform and living costs. This will be difficult for me and my mum and I am already looking at all of the ways I can fundraise, including singing at church weddings, and asking my school to help me to raise funds using the premises for fund raising. I will need £3200 for my educational tuition fees, and around £1800 towards living costs, as well as £300 for uniform. I will also need to raise money for household items, towels etc. Lots to do!! I have been offered this place with a certainty of a further 3 years fully funded training secured on my success in singing and acting within the auditions. Musical theatre is my one and only talent and love and I would be so greatful for any support towards any of the costs listed.
What I Can Promise
In return for your support I will send you a quarterley ^news letter^ to keep you up to date with my progress and when I am succesful in my first professional role I will hold an evening of entertainment:- singing, dance and the opportunity to thank you personally within a suitable central venue. If you have donated over £200 I will also send you tickets to see my first professional show. In the future My dream is to not only perform but to open a musical theatre school for children who simply cant afford expensive fees, and will perhaps only be able to pay a couple of pounds a week, but will still get great experience, tuition and opportunity to gain confidence and further opportunities for their career if they want to continue in musical theatre.
Thank you for your time reading this and for any sponsorship you provide
yours sincerely Sunny
