Campaign Story
I'm in my final year of a dental hygiene program and was recently informed by my school that I'm "maxed out" on federal loans. I have one more year to complete my program (graduation is May 3, 2013) and I can't afford to pay out-of-pocket. I work as a student library assistant at my school for 15 hours/week at minimum wage. The pay barely covers my living expenses. Because the dental hygiene program is very intense and demanding, I'll no longer be able to work beginning fall semester. Considering the money and time I've already invested in this program, I'm hoping to raise enough to keep from dropping out. The average hourly pay for dental hygienists in the U.S. is around $32/hour. Follwing graduation and finding a steady job, I promise to repay every cent donated with my first few paychecks (assuming donor paypal accounts are still active).
