Trying to get a house

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Long story short, my wife and I have been trying to get into a house for a while now. We have beensaving money the best we can, but despite our hard work, we still don't have enough for a down payment. I saw this site and figured "why not?". We are continuing to save money, but with winter coming on, we would really like to not have to go through another winter in our current place. It's drafty and we go through a lot of propane. We aren't looking for a huge house, nor are we looking for a really expensive house. We are coming up on 30 years old and are ready to stop renting. We want to get into a house and be able to make it a home for us an our two kids. My daughter, Lily, is 3 and a half, and has her own room. My son, Cody, just turned 5 months. He is obviously still sleeping in our bedroom. My wifes work schedule makes it hard for me to pick up any extra work because I have to be home on the days she works to watch the kids. Daycare isn't and option because it is just too expensive. So I ask you, can you spare a couple dollars to help me surprise my family with money for a down payment on a house?
