Trying to Do the Right Thing…

My husband and I recently gained custody of our 3 young grandchildren who were about to be taken away by CPS.  In order to do that, we had to hire an attorney. 

It amazes me how the system works:  when my daughter had them, she received over $600 per month to feed them, now that we have them, we get nothing.  I work, but my husband is on a fixed income.  Between paying the attorney, buying them beds to sleep in, feeding them everyday and buying them clothes, it has caused us to fall behind on our house payment.  Now, in addition to the added expense they bring, we are being charged over $80 per month in late charges on the house payment because we have been unable to make it on time. 

I have exhausted every avenue I can think of to get caught up.  My husband and I have totally cut out any fun activity we used to do in order to make sure they have what they need.  This is a last resort and my prayer is that by doing this, we can get caught up and move on with our lives in a normal, unstressful environment.  Any assistance you can give will be greatly appreciated.
