Traveling to Elena

Hello,  My name is Shandra and I am a college student at the University of South Dakota. I have a story to tell you about my friendship between my best friend Elena and myself. Elena came to my high school as a foreign exchange student from Germany my junior year of high school. We instantly became best friends and we did everything together. Since she left back for Germany, she has returned to the states multiple times whereas I have never had enough money to visit her. I have tried to save, but whilst paying for my own loans and rent, as well as other bills that come with being an adult, it is close to impossible for me to save money to visit her. I feel bad because she has visited me so many times and come June of this year, it will have been two years since I have seen her in person. She has been through a lot in those two years with her boyfriend dying of an aneurysm and her father struggling with cancer. All I want to do is visit her for a few weeks and to be able to say that our friendship is strong wherever we go, but the best when we are together. If you could please stop to donate whatever you can to help us see each other, it would really mean a lot to both of us. I would also like my visit to her to be a surprise, but if she finds out about this fundraiser it wouldn't be the end of the world. So please donate!
