South Africa faces a high level of violent crime. Now, we may not stop crime, but we can respond in a way that assists individuals to move on with their lives and find healing. Trauma Support SA was established to ensure that all South Africans have access to an effective trauma support service regardless of where they stay in either rural or urban communities or their socio-economic status
Trauma Support SA, as a national organization works towards improving the link between psychosocial trauma support services and provide more victims of crime access to support, advice and referral to a national network of trauma service providers, with the following vision and objectives recognized as needed in South Africa.
Your donation for this project will be specifcally used to train up volunteers and provide resources to ensure that victims of violence, crime and other traumatic incidents receive support and assistance when they need it.
Our Vision is to raise awareness about the effects of Traumatic Stress in all South African Communities and to ensure that all South Africans have access to Trauma Support Services and trauma counseling.
We can only acheive this vision with your financial support, our willing volunteers and through our projects such as our crisis intervention chaplaincy service, our training services and our “Be a Hero and Talk” project which aimed at educating emergency services and law enforcement personnel about the effects of trauma.
Your support would make this possible and make a difference!
