Tragic Financial Decisions – Worst times for my family and I

Hi Everyone,

I am a young working adult and I just go married last year.

I come from a low-income family. I made the biggest mistake of my life - I opened a $110,000.00 contra position

The trade thesis was simple and reckless, there was a strong community at HotCopper who touted this stock as one in the rise, it was temporarily oversold and with a brief respite in lithium spot prices I thought I could make a quick profit.

Now the stock has suspended trading indefinitely. I had to take a personal loan, pour both my wife and my entire life savings into this and still face a shortfall of tens of thousands of dollars to a brokerage firm which I shall not name. I was naive and greedy - smitten with the thought of making a few grand and failed to consider the worst case scenario which is playing out right now. It is akin to throwing money into a blackhole and I have exhausted all my means.

I face an impending Writ of Summons if I am unable to raise enough cash by the end of October. I do not have means to any legal recourse/advice and I do not know what is going to happen should this matter escalate further. I have not eaten nor slept well because of the anxiety and overwhelming stress accompanying this tragedy I would have thought was unthinkable just several weeks ago.

If you are reading this, please, any amount will help and can go a long way. I sincerely hope that this can also serve as a reminder at least, that when it comes to financial decisions, things will go wrong in any given situation if there is a chance (Murphy's Law).
