As a Whipple surgery survivor, I have developed other major GI issues such as Adhesions or scar tissue internally, ulcers of the intestines and stomach, and constant GI Bleeds. The doctors where I have been hospitalized this year were not able to definitively find and repair the bleeding. I nearly passed away multiple times not and require constant blood transfusions to mitigate risk.

I live in a consistent danger zone with my body. In addition to these issues, I now am have had a PET which at least yielded results showing no active Cancer, but did in fact show that the lesions and ulcers are bleeding heavily with no sign of stopping. I am constantly getting blood transfusions during each week. I have been struggling to find adequate care here in Orlando as my origin surgeon does not want to touch me after the last obstruction resection I had in South Florida. It has been recommended to have Mayo Clinic evaluate, revise my Whipple, and to address my bleeding issues. This is serious business and can save my life. The last time I was found on my floor in shock from hemoglobin of 3 and had to have several fast Type "O" transfusions to get me stable.

Unfortunately, due to life circumstances such as the various hospitalizations, I now need supplemental funding to pay for treatment aside from what my Florida Blue MyBlue plan covers. I am not the type to ever ask for a dime from anyone, but my life is in the balance right now. I need help to reach my financial goal as soon as possible. God knows, I need the support right now.
