Tiny Cactus Pictures Startup Fund

Tiny Cactus Pictures is a startup film production company based in Lansing, MI, founded with the goal of producing quality, character-driven independent films.

Our name pays homage to the popular "Tiny cactus believes in you!" meme - one which became shorthand between myself and my late mother to express words of encouragement whenever one of us was facing obstacles or hardships, and also to affirm the belief in both the ability to overcome those obstacles and that humble beginnings and modest means do not have to be a barrier to a meaningful end result.

We believe in quality over quantity and strive to tell both intellectually and emotionally engaging stories that can hold their own with much larger budgets while putting new spins on old ideas and/or examining stories and social issues from new angles and points of view.

I am currently seeking startup funding in order to purchase a quality workstation for editing and color grading, which will allow us to save expenses on productions by affording us the capability of doing post-production work in-house, rather than having to outsource, and also to generate income for the business by providing these services to others.

Any additional funds raised beyond the minimum goal will be put toward other startup and development expenses, such as retaining an Entertainment attorney and purchasing additional production & post-production software.
