Tia's Vet Visit

I took my beautiful Tia to the vet on 3rd October 2014 to get her checked out for an eye issue. I honestly wasn't expecting to hear that her teeth are the culprit of a few problems she has. Her eye had been sore and weeping and she had also been loosing some weight. It turns out that most of her teeth are rotten and need to be removed. She seemed happy and content and even eating still. I was shocked to see the state her teeth were in. I was also informed that my girl is about 4 years older than originally estimated which makes her around 12 or 13 years old.

Backstory

Tia was a rescue mission and in a sorry state when she came to me 5 years ago. A friend had rescued her from a life of being kept in someone garden shed and passed her on to me. She was underweight and very nervous of everyone. It took a lot of time for her to trust people again but she is now a settled member of my family and loved by all who have the honour of her presence when they visit. She is a gentle soul and wouldn't hurt a fly. I owe it to her to live comfortably and if it means raising even part of this money to help toward her dental work then I shall do so.

Why do I need help?

I need help because the pet insurance doesn't cover dental (Always check the small print. Lesson learnt) and with a young family that has recently expanded (I had a baby 6 weeks ago and a 4 year old who just started school), funds have been limited. I will save as much as I can myself for Tia to get the help she needs, but any kind offers and donations will go a long way to relieving the pressure of having to pay out so much.
