As many of you know, breaking (breakdancing) has been confirmed as one of the newly added sports to the 2024 Paris Olympics! On 4th December 2021, WDSF World Breaking Championships will happen in Paris, France, inviting bboys and bgirls from all over the world to represent their countries - an event which will mark as the first step towards the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After 3x Hong Kong Team qualifying events, bboy Think and bgirl Little are the top ranking athletes. They will be there from the 2nd - 6th of December and will return to Hong Kong on the 7th December. Upon our arrival, they must quarantine for 21 days.
Flights, quarantine hotels, travel insurance, PCR tests / inspection tests have been paid for by the HKDSA. However, in order to attend this event, Think and Little will be taking 1 month of no paid leave in order to represent Hong Kong.
This fundraiser has been made in order to support Think and Little.
Both of them have full time jobs in order to pay for their daily livelihood and spend most of their free time practicing. As many public spaces do not allow dancing, we spend a lot of money on things such as booking a studio space, extra travel fees, body care equipment (KT Tape / Muscle gel etc.), etc.
By taking the 1 month no paid leave in order to represent Hong Kong and without any additional support, we hope that people can donate in order to help alleviate the financial stresses and burdens of Think and Little.
GOAL: 30,000HKD will be able to help cover for rent and general daily costs for both Think and Little (15,000HKD each)
If we go over our goal, what will the other funds go towards?
