Theatre Festival of Festivals, France, April 2023

We are a Francophone theatre group "Trapné Ticho" from the Matyáš Lerch high school in Brno, CZ (www.gml.cz). During the past 12 years of our existence we have performed 20 plays in the French language. The plays were adaptations of works by famous playwrights such as Anouilh, Camus, Shakespeare, and Brecht, and even an adaption of the film "Brazil" by Terry Gilliam.

Each year we take part in Francophone theatre festivals in countries all over Europe such as Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Italy, as well as domestic festivals such as "Frankoscény" in Pardubice, CZ.

Last year we studied and performed the play "Andorra" by Max Frisch. The play was a big success and we took it to a theatre festival in Pecs, Hungary, where we received first prize. We also took the play to a festival in Romania.

At the festival of Frankscény 2022, our group was chosen to represent the Czech Republic at the upcoming Festival of Festivals organised by the group Vents et Marées in April 2023 in La Roche-sur-Yon.

In order to participate in the Festival of Festivals we are seeking financial support to cover travel, accommodation and the festival entrance fee. With your kind donation you will not only support our group at the festival but also in future productions.
