The Tiyya Foundation

The Tiyya Foundation provides basic necessities and holistic programming to refugees and displaced American families. We aim to promote a community which fosteres the development of self-sufficiency, helping families in transition overcome obstacles and actively participate in society; one friendship at a time.

Tiyya is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports refugees/immigrants from across the globe, regardless of religion, race or political ideologies. We are a program that assists the entire family by focusing on the child. The majority of clients are currently from Burma, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Russia, Somalia and other areas of conflict. The Tiyya foundation support clients in the counties of Orange and Los Angeles. There are over 10.6 million refugees in the world and 1 million asylum seekers. Since the Vietnam War, Orange County has helped resettle over 83,000 people. These families suffer from traumatic stress related to war and persecution, displacement, and isolation. The Tiyya Foundation provides you the opportunity to help these families directly and ensure their visibility in our community.

We offer free services such as donating furniture, kitchenware, scohol supplies, hygiene products and more. In addition, we have homework tutors, weekly soccer games, and art workshops for the children.
