The major purpose for the funds we raise for this project is to make an entertaining film which tells a compelling story about two people who are thrust together by fate. "The Rom" deals with Christiana, a governor’s daughter, who is being escorted to the capitol city to meet with the king. A war is raging between the main country, Aland, and its enemy, Zella. After running into enemy scouts, Christiana and her escorts are ambushed. Left alone and afraid, Christiana finds herself being protected by the lead character, Carlum Rom. Carlum protects Christiana and aids her in trying to get out of the forest and to the Capitol city. As the movie progresses we see their relationship grow. We discover a lot about these characters and their different lives and what they are struggling with in the middle of a war as the try to escape enemy troops. We are hoping that this movie can be the starting point for not only more films/sequels, but possibly even a web series. We consider "The Rom" a launching pad for a larger world and more vast set of stories that we can eventually turn into a five part feature film series. There are so many characters and stories that we would like to share with audiences, but in order to get to that point, producing and making a great film now with "The Rom" has to be our beginning point and goal! In the promo video, we mentioned that a majority of our budget will go towards actually purchasing the equipment we need to film "The Rom." Not only are we using our funds we raise to make a film, but we are also using our money and efforts to start up our own production company called Trinity Media. Buying the equipment we need instead of renting it will help us expand Trinity into what we need. We want Trinity Media to have two major goals moving forward in these early stages: 1) To act as the main production entity that can go hand in hand with "The Rom" and other films and projects that follow it. 2) Allow our resources and equipment to be available for other aspiring film makers in the North Carolina region. We passionately believe in the art of film making and want to be able to support it in any way possible.
