We are a group of 7 Sciences Po Master students working for Youth for Change, an advocacy tool for youth victims of extreme poverty and exclusion, co-funded by the NGO Life Project for Change, with 7 centers in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.
In January 2014 we will be going to the Philippines to spend time with these young adults living in terrible conditions and to further develop our research in order to find innovative strategies which will give them a chance, that chance that we already have and often take for granted, but that could change their lives.
Tayphoon Haiyan has had horrific consequences on the life of these people, whose fragile houses have fallen apart. This translates in more poverty, more exclusion and more slum areas. The LP4Y centers where the youngsters are usually accommodated have also been damaged, so the fight against youth poverty and exclusion will get harder right at the moment when its programmes are most needed. ?The Philippines need you and you can help, so please donate! The smallest effort will make a huge difference for those people!
We will post pictures and describe what has been done with the money we raise once we come back from our trip.
Thank you for your contribution,
The Youth 4 Change Team
