Campaign Story
THE MULLIGAN COLLECTION: FORGIVENESS promises to be an exciting collection of artistic presentations devoted to and revolving around the topic of FORGIVENESS.
Mulligan Theatre has teamed up with award winning charity partner The Forgiveness Project to create this inaugural season. https://www.theforgivenessproject.com/
We will be unleashing our work unto the World at VAULT Festival 2018. https://vaultfestival.com/ This is a seriously good arts festival that runs yearly under Waterloo station.
See our event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/176020686345633/
Alongside the theatre work, we will be working academically, publishing papers that examine the stimulus for our seasons. This involves asking questions of our audience - These will be posted at the end of the show.
What you won't see is our outreach to marginalised groups - providing access to those who don't conventionally attend the theatre and our work with charitable partners, supporting those who have been affected by the issues raised. This all happens outside of the cost of your ticket. So we need you help to cover the cost if this vital work.
For us, forgiveness comes down to the rules you live by, and how staunchly you believe them. They might come from a monolithic doctrine, parentage and family, or just hard knocks and past experience. They are unique to you and everyone plays by a different set of rules, so with an uneven playing field what have we got to do to ask you to forgive? We just want to start the conversation. And sure, we love the theatre, we tell stories, so why not have some fun at the same time?
We’ve also teamed up with award winning international charity THE FORGIVENESS PROJECT to create responsive work to the components of Forgiveness with live storytelling, film and discussion. The Forgiveness Project uses the real stories of victims and perpetrators to explore concepts of forgiveness, and to encourage people to consider alternatives to resentment, retaliation and revenge.

1 day down, 4 to go!!
Update posted by James Barbour at 04:28 pmSo our first night was last nigh, and we're very happy indeed with how it all went, we feel we are moving in the right direction and sticking to our core ethos. The questions were met with an eager response and plenty of discussion after the show in the bar,
