The Long Journey to Happiness

Three years ago Hiilani cried for a father, since her biological father had checked out when she was about a little over year old. I told her to get on her knees and pray asking GOD to provide for her that which she wanted. I told her GOD will provide what you need. Little did I know that her prayer would tansform our lives. March of 2010, A wonderful friend by the name of Silmara Silva-Martinez introduced me to one of her good friends, two weeks after Hiilani's prayer (nothing crossed my mind at that moment). The journey began. Emails after emails messages via yahoo messaging became more frequent until me both realized there was an emotion growing greater than just a frienship, and it blossomed. Then came Skype! Oh the anxierty to put a face to the voice I was falling in love with, and then the proposal and the exchange of rings via good ol fashion mail. Time passed and moves were discussed and then, I went to court, obtained full legal custody of my daughter, we backed our bags and were off to Brazil landing in June 29, 2012 meeting physically for the very first time. Many details have been obmitted but what shall we call Fleikismar Mendes Lopes (my fiance) By his first name, daddy?. In the process of falling in love he came to love Hiilani and Hiilani, he. On arriving to Brazil immediately upon seeing him she yelled "Pa pai" daddy in Portuguese, and the journey to Happiness continues. Upon this next return, GOD willing, we will be able to get married. The first 6 months were full of bureaucracy and unexcepted difficulties. Now we have all the paper work ready and it's off to seal the journey to happiness. Our wedding will be small and very far. We're hoping to raise some funds to give us a little help in our journey. Every cent is greatly appreciated we three thank you in advance for your gift.
