The House of Dreams

Imagine a single mother raising five children while also combating depression. Now think about that same family struggling and having difficulty making financial ends meet. Because of the struggles and challenges at home, those five children are unable to focus on school and themselves. They have to worry about doing chores, taking care of their ill mother, and also working at a very early age to help support family expenses.

This was my life....This was my life. I was one of the those five children that belong to that single mother. The only boy of four sisters. The man of the house. Our father did not support us financially. I am now in my early twenties and am very proud of the young man I have grown to be. All the struggles and difficulties my family and I overcame have molded be to be the pillar holding our family together. Unfortunately, I could not accomplish my educational goals because I wanted to make sure my sisters were well educated. I saw the tragedies my mother faced being uneducated in the thriving and progressive economy of America. My flames of hope of grasping the "American Dream" are still lit and I want to keep that candle burning for my sisters as well. In todays world, it is extremely vital for women to be empowered and highly educated which is why I sacrificed my schooling to help pay for their tuition costs.

In the meantime it is also important that we have a roof over our heads that we can claim as our own. Our home, our sanctuary, and our dream. I need your assistance to help me accomplish not only my dream, but the dream of my family. To own a home we can call our own. I am tired, tired of moving from one apartment to another almost every other year. At the same time, tackling the rise of rent costs in which the money we pay towards rent doesn't help build a foundation that we can call our own. In the desperate need of needing our own home, I went into contract to purchase a property. Not thinking all the way through, the cloak of newfound happiness and excitement, prompted me to sign away because I was doing something great for my family, something extraordinary for the betterment of our lives.

I purchased a property in which I have to pay a sum of $200,000 over the course of three years, of which $40,000 I have already paid. I am in need of prayers to help me fulfill my financial obligation. Along with prayers I am in need of monetary assistance and I had no idea on how to obtain it until my friend told me about GoGetFunding.
