The Guitar Girls

I am going to give having low-income girls a chance to come to a rec type building everyday to learn how to play the electric guitar.  I am going to organize and teach a girl/guitar ensemble. The music we are going to listen to, learn about, and play is going to be American Blues. This I believe will give girls a chance to not only learn how to play music, and learn about Americans music history, but it will also give girl a chance at raising thier self esteem and confidence.  It will also bring girl guitar players into the world of Blues, Rock, and Jazz here in America. It will also give the girls a focal point and help to keep them off of the streets and out of trouble.  I am hoping to give performances on a regular basis.

 I am however going to have to supply the "rec" with the guitars so that the girls can use them everyday to practice on. I will need some music books, music paper, Blues albums, and some other educational things. I will also need to find a place that we can do all our rehearsing.
