Campaign Story
On November 19, 2017, Morgan and Katie Gruntham were hit by a reckless
driver that ran a stoplight going 65+ mph on Benton Rd at Kingston. Both
girls were transported by ambulance to University Health. Morgan (mom)
was sent to SICU with multiple fractures including a C7 spinal fracture,
bilateral pelvic fractures, and multiple rib fractures. She also has a
broken collarbone, a collapsed lung, and a multitude of bumps and
bruises.
Katie (daughter) was brought into University with severe
brain trauma. They took her back to surgery to perform a craniotomy. She
also has a collapsed lung and her C2 vertebrate is fractured. She has
been fighting for her life all week. Her intracranial pressures have
been fluctuating and the doctors have been taking every measure
medically known to lower them and keep her stable.
Katie is one of
the sweetest little girls. She is smart, creative, silly, and fun
loving. She loves frog hunting, worm digging, wearing mismatched shoes,
making up silly songs, and being a superhero. She is our "Katie Bug" and
we all love her dearly.
We continue to lift this amazing family up in prayer. If you would like to help, please PRAY for this family and donate here.
