I am David Lawrence Royale, S.A.G. I am a semi-retired senior Veteran. The son of a WW II Veteran, and the successor to nearly 400 years of Americans and Colonists that called North America home. In fact, my mother was a bona fide member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. I believe we have two ancestors that fought in the revolution and a couple that fought for the Union in the Civil War. The history of my ancestors drove me to do a complete ancestral search going back 400 years. I am told that one of my earliest ancestors came to this continent aboard the ship Assurance which sailed in 1636. I believe his name was Jo Brown [spelled with or without an “e”]. I tallied a list of approximately ninety people that I am descended from; names like Ruehl, Maina, Everett, Sylvester, Bradbury, Wheelwright, Stockman, Fogg, Turner, Brewster, Jacobs, Russell, Ruggles, Gibson, Lord Pierre De la Barre Devotion, Curtis, Stetson, Clap, Martin, Brooks, Collamore, Palmer, Hutchinson, Marbury, Pike, Doran, Kimball, Bixby, Murray, Bradstreet, Bailey, Emery, Putnam, Perkins, Divine, Royhl, and Jo Brown just to mention a few. I know enough interesting information about many of these people to write a book, which is something I’ve been planning on doing for many years. To that end, my goal is to complete that Genealogy Family Tree and write about some of them while I can, with what time I have left. As it is, I'm a two-time Cancer survivor. My investigation to date is a precursory one, meaning it is not complete. My purpose for the funding is to support myself to give me the time, and to support that effort.
