Help us to build a safe house for our children!

In 2019 The GLO House and OceanHood will need a bigger house as the family continues to grow!

We provide under privileged children in Cape town with opportunities to grow with love and a structure guidance and education. The GLO kids live in a provided house by us, further away from the ghetto life and the townships gangs.

We would like to invite you to HELP US RAISE MONEY to move in 2019 for a new bigger house!!

Our current house is overloaded. We are currently taking care of 7 children, in only a 2-bedroom apartment. We found a beautiful house in a safe neighborhood with a lots of space for our kids! We are hoping to be able to work with more children up 12-15 in this bigger house!

The monthly price is 22000 Rand ( +- $1600). This price includes includes expenses and transportation.

OUR STORY

The GLO house is a non-profit organization based in Muizenberg, South Africa that hosts unprivileged kids from the townships in Cape Town and provide them with a safe environment. Many of the children who are now in The GLO House came to us through their parents. Whether it is concern of safety, lack of resources, or perpetual violence and abuse, mothers reach out to us to provide their children with a place of safety, the opportunity to strengthen their education and skills, and keep them focused on achieving their dreams without the high influence of gangs, drugs, alcohol, and abuse. We now house 7 children full time and provide tutoring, three balanced meals, a family environment, clothes, and all healthcare needs. Over the past six months, we have seen an immense growth in all the children and how they have benefited physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally from The GLO House.

OceanHood is a part of the GLO House. It offers to children from the township of Capricorn guidance, motivation and social skills so they can become more well-rounded individuals. We are committed to help the community through a platform which provides several physical actives and life coaching. The kids and the community would have an opportunity to engage in a number of activities, such as skate boarding, learning to garden, volunteer in a food pantry, participate in educational programs, engage in physical fitness, and feel the power of the waves through surfing.

With these activates we can not only change the perspective of the children but also the corrupt gang members and drug dealers. By changing the perspective of a few individuals we can spark a flame in the whole community to be able to start a chain reaction for future generations.

The GLO House and OceanHood will work hand in hand to improve communities and provide children with the opportunity to create a better future for themselves, their families, and their homes.

OUR NEXT MISSION

We are looking forward to moving into a bigger home so that we can help more children! The GLO House alone cannot end post Apartheid poverty, but we as a community can work toward creating a brighter future for the world. Join us and The GLO House family in creating opportunity for children!
