The Essence of Peace

The Essence of Peace Foundation is a nonprofit working in Papua New Guinea to provide both Bible Instruction and Community Development. We are working in the Tewai-Siassi area of the Morobe Province among 11,000 plus people. We have several major projects that will start in March 2020 and we need to raise $50,000 Canadian Dollars to make it happen. If everyone gives 25-50, we should be able to raise enough by that time. Here are the initiatives and programs we are doing:

1. Forgive Initiative - The forgive initiative teaches about the life of Joseph in Genesis Chapters 37-50. Thomas Phinnemore is a retired Bible Translator and linguist. He is leading the forgive initiative.
   1. Literacy Program. As a part of the forgive initiative, we will also be running a literacy program that will teach basic reading, writing, spelling, counting and arithmetic for all age groups.
2. Reconcile Initiative - The Reconcile initiative teaches about the ministry of Jesus from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Joel Phinnemore will be running this program. He is a missionary, computer specialist and knowledgeable in farming, food, production, processing, raw materials, manufacturing, road construction and many others
   1. Develop Program. As part of the reconcile initiative, we will also be providing community development and sustainable development training. In the first three years, we intend to build a 50 KM Clean water pipeline, plant 960,000 trees, start building transportation routes and change home construction from primarily wood to primarily bamboo construction.
3. Transform Initiative - The Transform Initiative teaches about the life of King Solomon in 1 Kings and 1,2 Chronicles. Colleen will be running this program. She is a retired teacher and certified business trainer.
   1. Prosperity Program: Along with this initiative, Colleen King will be teaching Family and Business Management and money management.

Together, these make up the FRT-LDP Program Initiatives. We will be starting the construction of the 50 KM water pipeline in 2020 March, as well as constructing a new 2500 Meter Airstrip and planting up to 960,000 trees. Come on board.
