We are young Africans who believe in the power of knowledge to change lives of ordinary people. we seek to make a change in the way Africa teaches her children to survive in the world. we seek to introduce Computer Science as a subject from grade R to GRADE 12. We do not mean computer literacy but specifically the science of how computers function so that we will produce competent proffessionals who will be able to change our continent by starting ICT companie that will go on to create thousands of jobs ang inject the much needed funds to our economies in Africa. We know that event though the governments on this continent would like to start introducing this in their schools, they lack the capacity, the budgets, the competency, the willingness and any desire really introduce this meaningful change. so we as young ICT professionals have decided to found and run the programme at schools. we rely on donations of the equipment and we select two volunteers to go teach at a school for 12 months. They will get a monthly stipend. we take care of their transportation and accomodation close to the school if they come from too far. The school provides an empty classroom with power. if none of these are available, we will try to raise the funds to build it and utilize donated solar power equipment.
