We need your help so we can create a stand-alone community space!
Be Enriched is fundraising for a building so that we can provide more consistent support to the local and wider community.
Right now, we run four community canteens a week, serving a hot, nutritious meal and creating a safe, warm environment for many vulnerable people. We are volunteer led and utilise surplus food for these meals, ensuring it is put to much more beneficial use than ending up in a land fill. While the meal fulfils a practical purpose, we are also providing essential social interaction, advice services, arts & crafts, games and a generally welcoming space for many who do not have regular access to such a place. With our own building, we would have the capacity to provide our services constantly for local, vulnerable people. As a community hub, we would serve up more than just a pay-as-you-feel meal, but also vital nutrition that is otherwise less accessible in the surrounding area. Services would also include, support and advice to help alleviate people from poverty, provide holistic therapy services and unique events that promote inclusivity and the local community.
As well as these beneficial services, we would also use this platform to provide training initiatives for young people to learn cooking skills, helping them to lead, healthy and fulfilling adult lives and we will provide at least 900 opportunities a year for people to gain skills through volunteering.
Help us to help others and donate so that together we can provide a space with multi-faceted, positive impacts for the community!
