The Christmas Initiative 2021

Dear friends,

As the festive season approaches, Paul Naggear and I, along with a fantastic group of friends, volunteers, and social kitchens, will be repeating our food distribution initiative on the 23rd and 24th of December.

Last year, what started as a small communal effort turned out awesome: 6,000 hot meals and Christmas bûches were distributed to families in need. Our objective was to help of course, but by being there for one another, we also revived our typically vibrant neighborhoods and brought back hope and a bit of joy to our communities, destroyed by the blast.

Sadly this year, the situation has worsened, with increasing poverty, unemployment, and blocked funds, so many people including children can’t afford hot meals. This is why we would like to actually double our efforts and distribute 12,000 meals. So your help is much needed! And here’s how you can contribute:

* Cook the largest amount of possible quantities of rezz 3a djej or moghrabiye, or provide us with Christmas bûches. This year, you can also purchase recipe packs that contain all produce needed for the meal! All produce will be sourced directly from producers, and expect cooking instructions from food influencers :)

* Fund the purchasing of the meals from our social kitchens partners

* Volunteer on the day of the event and help us cook, transport, and distribute the meals!
