The Aphentus Beauty Parlour

I am Kopano Matlaba, 21 year old female.

A qualified nail technician and I am currently employed as a call centre agent.

I have established a small business operating as a Nail Technician from a backyard room at my granny's place although I only get to attend to my clients on weekends and I do house calls as well.

Though I am currently employed, my greatest interest and goal is pursuing a career within the beauty industry, as it is an ever growing industry with no limitations.

I am very passionate about beauty therapy and I intend on furthering my studies within the field. My goal is to open a beauty parlour, in a peaceful and secure environment, with all beauty services offered under one roof.

With money being the utmost challenge, it is evident that it will take some time before I make my dream a reality. A dream that will not only benefit me but bring change into the lives of others. Majority of the youth in our communities are unemployed and a high number of them have turned to drugs.

I intend on opening a beauty parlour as I do have a stand secured where I can offer the services. The plan for starters is to immediately employ three individuals,for the daily running of the business. Which in return will be able to feed three households.

In the near future, as the business grows. I pledge to offer skills and development programmes to atleast five individuals, in a period of twelve months to give back to the community.
