THE END OF THE ROAD

Have we reached the end of the road? Is it time to face reality and just say it as it is? I think so, but how? How do I do it? How do we turn our backs on the 300 beating hearts that’s grown to know and love The 9th Day as their home? How do we turn our backs on the ones that still need help?

I don’t have a lot to say today, I feel defeated. You’ve all been seeing our pleas the last 2 weeks. Running a rescue centre with no corporate support or government funding we are purely dependant on the goodwill of the community.

We still need to pay the following (actually our deadline was today)….
Food Bill: R10 925
Rant & Dal Vet: R43 379
Boarding Kennels: R20 000

Our dogs also need to get dewormed and vaccinations are coming up for a few of them. This we don't get for free, we need to pay the supplier.
We have awesome raffles, so you don’t just give you have a chance to win something and we attend markets, but even that does help. We simply continue without your helping hands, honestly, we can’t.
