Temporary Survival Needs Support

I am seeking asylum in the United States due to experiencing torture in my home country as it is seen on my body with scars. I developed health issues including, but not limited to, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) and at this time I have no access to public benefits as my asylum case is still in process by the court and I am awaiting my work permit.

My goals are to obtain employment, once I have my work permit, in a nonprofit agency where I can continue working for human rights and social development as I used to do.

I will use the raised money for expenses for temporary living (as I wait for a work permit) such as housing, food, bus passes to help me visit a doctor, buying medicine, going to church, and other services that allow me to continue my healing process. I also need a laptop to help me keep my computer skills and make myself busy because most of the time I stay alone from morning to night and this increases stress too!

Meeting theses needs will help me very much because it will enable me to survive for some months until I am able to have my work permit and find employment. I will be able to go to all of my appointments, stay healthy and continue to get better.

A friend said that: "Donating, giving, sharing... is about heart not having much or millions of $, sometime we think we will give, donate or share when we get enough but we forget that the only way to be blessed is to share the little we have with others especially those in serious need".
