This is a fund-raising page for Sue who is a mum of three kids aged 6, 9 and 16. Sue was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer in February 2015. Up until this point Sue had been a healthy mum who lived a normal life, she enjoyed running, regularly running 10k’s and half marathons and generally managing her family. This has all changed and we need your help to change it back.
We want to help Sue to kick cancer's butt so we are raising funds for Team Sue. Since February Sue has had two major operations to resolve issues brought on by the Cancer. A month after being diagnosed, Sue underwent hip replacement surgery and just 2 weeks after this she was being operated on again, this time spinal surgery to remove part of the tumour that was effecting her spinal column in her pelvis. After both operations, Sue being the really strong person she is was determined to get up, be active and out of hospital as soon as possible; she was out of hospital the day after her operations in both cases!
Many of our friends have asked how they can help support us. As Sue was a keen amateur runner, many have decided to run different races and fun runs (and one Marathon!) with the aim raising funds for Team Sue. We have set up this central pledge\donation\sponsorship page as it allows all the funds raised to be easily managed.
So how will the money be spent?
Sue is currently a patient at The Churchill Hospital in Oxford; she requires treatment which means frequent visits to Oxford. The funds raised will be used to help pay for these latest cancer treatments, as well as travel arrangements, other therapies or anything else that we think would help. Any money not required for Sue's fight to beat cancer will be donated to help others fight cancer.
Where can i find out more?
Our new website is now live and can be found by clicking on www.teamsue.org
When will supporters see the difference?
As soon as the money is raised it will immediately help to pay for the next set of travel expenses for Sue's next course of treatment at The Churchill Hospital in Oxford. So, please if you have a spare, Pound, or Euro, Dollar, whatever your currency please donate; IT WILL HELP and just might make the difference. Many Many Thanks!
