Teaching English in Colombia

Hello everyone.

I am hoping to teach English in Colombia to the children who cannot speak English, and to those who can only speak a few words of English. I will be teaching English in the primary school in Instituto Comercial Ruperto Aguilera Leon de Nemocon in Colombia, about an hours drive from the capital.

I would really like to help the children there so that they too may have a better future. We look at our own countries and think that the rest of the world is also as well developed as what we know our own countries to be. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There are still a lot of towns in the world who does not have the luxury of equal education. We all want the best for our children and the generations to come, but how can we promise that to them if there are still so many without help.

Colombia asks for people to teach English there, but they do not necessarily get the help because the country is poor and cannot afford to pay high salaries. It is unfortunate, but everybody needs money to survive, and because of the low salary most people move on to a better proposition with there skills. The salary a month is about $214.00, if you were to go to help that would not be the problem, but to work for that and come back you would be left with little.

I do unfortunately no have the funds to pay for everything that is needed on my part to make it to Colombia, and because it is a very poor country the schools can't afford to pay for the plane ticket or help with the VISA.

I have calculated the cost of everything, including the plane ticket, the Visa and other viable expenses and it concludes to $3000.00.

Please, I am asking for your help. This is not just for me, but for those in need of a proper education. Please help me to reach this goal and help me in making a better future for those who are suppose to take our place in the future.
