Campaign Story
Mental health and suicide are 2 topics that are close to my heart. A few years ago I lost my brother to suicide. He was a quiet man. He doesn’t really express his feelings. He didn’t even leave us a note or anything for us to know what was going on in his head. Since then, I’ve realized how important it is to check on people you love. A simple text message to a family member or a friend asking them how they are goes a long way. We don’t know what each one of us is going through especially this time of pandemic. We don’t know how this pandemic is affecting each one us mentally and emotionally. In one of the podcasts I’m listening to, Dr. Edgardo Tolentino Jr. said that mental health is a pandemic within the pandemic.
That is why for my birthday I would like to reach out to those people who are having problems with their mental health. I’ll be organizing a fundraising event with the help of my family and local tattoo artists. The beneficiary of this fundraising is the Anxiety and Depression Support Group - Baguio City.
Join me as we fight to stop the stigma on mental health.
* Tatts from the Heart - A benefit tattoo session to stop the stigma on mental health (March 13 - 21, 2021)
* Tatts from the Heart (gogetfunding) - for those who doesn’t want to get a tattoo or those who aren’t in Baguio but want to donate (Whole month of March)
