The face behind the Traveling Toes
(Watch the video above)
As a writer and documentary filmmaker, as an adventurer, traveller, and dreamer, as a humanitarian, change-maker, visionary, and creator, I have found myself in the midst of Africa. Not only physically, but spiritually.
It is through my upbringing in a children's home for abandoned babies (Sinakekele), my environment in a rural community, and interactions with all types of people from all walks of life, that has allowed me the grace to grow into the human that I am (although constantly growing).
My passion to express all that I experience runs deep within my veins ~ capturing the essence Africa, our unique people, our breath-taking lands, and our interwoven stories, however, my purpose flows deeper - to be a physical part of the change we wish to see in the world.
My tenacious, relentless, untamable, wild and fiery spirit gives me the ability and drives to do what most people cannot, or what most people fear to do - create the change. Whether it's for myself or those around me.
Between a rock and a hard place.
Due to a recent car accident along my travels, I have had to spend 7 months in recovery.
The healing process has been successful but unfortunately left me unable to work or travel until all dental work is complete.
My current focus during this time of dental work and recovery has been building this house for Lungile in the rural community of Oakfoird, which is time-consuming in itself (using an eco-friendly method of earth-bag construction).

Due to my car being a write-off, and Sinakekele's car already packed with toddlers and teenagers, I have no way of traveling into the city for freelance work. Nor can I leave Durban to join my business partner as we travel and film until the dental work is complete.
Paying It Forward
Invest in me, to invest in change. Invest in me, to invest in this nation.
I’m stepping forward and asking, open and vulnerable, if each selected individual could pledge to donate only a small amount a month to me (think of it as a tithing), until the dental work is done (within the next 3 months), and then I can continue my journey and original form of income.
Most of you who see this video, know me, you watch my short video's of traveling and read the stories I share of the people I meet and the experiences I have, as well as the community work I do.
You know my heart and my pure intentions.
It is not common for me to ask for help for myself, but I am in a space where it is an impossibility for me to create an income for the next 3 months and so I am stepping forward to ask all my angels to support in this time of need.
I currently need R5000 living expenses a month, and R7000 for the completion of my dental work.
I pray you to feel moved to be a part of my change, so I can continue to be a part of other people's change, that is what the ripple effect of kindness is all about.
I am so grateful for the support I have received in the past few months from various individuals who believe in me. I have been so abundantly blessed.
I am reaching out for support to please help me get through the last 3 months of this season.
