Donate the education of a blind psychologist!

My dream is to practice my profession. I want to become a clinical psychologist and help children with mental disorders. Why do I need YOUR help? As a visually impaired person, I currently have no chance to work in this field in Hungary.

My name is Boglárka Biró, I live in a disadvantaged municipality in Hungary. Since I was a child, I have dreamed of becoming a psychologist, treating children with mental illnesses. In 2023, I became a certified psychologist. The feeling of helping children was not comparable to anything else. However, my joy was soon replaced by despair and misery. Employers rejected me as soon as they learn from my CV that I am visually impaired. There was no chance of a job interview; they didn't even contact me!

Then I found the Kamasztér Foundation, where I was not seen as a person with a disability but as a professional. Here, I volunteer at the Támasztér support @chatpoint to provide emotional support to adolescents, and I am also involved in several projects run by the foundation. From this school year, I will offer psychological counseling for parents and their children as well. This volunteering opportunity gives me confidence and hope that one day I will be able to make a living from my profession.

Now I know for sure that I am on my path and that I have a chance in this field. Therefore, I wish to advance my education and attain expertise in clinical psychology as well. To achieve this, I need the tuition fee for the 4-year training course, which amounts to 2,000,000 HUF. I receive training from the Kamasztér Foundation, but as they also rely on donations, I need your contribution to continue my education.
