TAK COVID 19 RURAL RELIEF FUND

TAK is Registered under the South African NPO ACT; REG N0: 203-604 NPO as a charitable organisation.TAK helps rural communities attain social justice, empowerment ,education and leadership development. .I’m a missionary who through TAK,has devoted my life to serve others around the world but especially the ruralunderprivileged communitiesof Sub-Saharan Africa . TAK has been working with the underprivileged,informal settlements, township rural communities in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho and East Africa for over 10 years .

Covid19 is as test to our humanity is also a shared health crisis with challenging economic challenges, especially to the underprivileged in our global village. Our socio-economic shared values, ethics and corporate co-existence in a shared global village have never been so shaken like they have by Covid 19.

Assuch, TAK has formedthe TAKCOVID 19 RURAL RELIEF FUND to help alleviate theCovid 19 socio-economic shock to rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most relief funds around us are primarily urban focused with almost no rural-focus at all . That’swhyTAK [beingmissionarydrivenin characterand rural-focused in nature] , hasformedthisfundprimarilyforRURALrelief, interventions , and awarenessfor theunderprivileged ruralcommunities , townships, villagesandunderprivileged neighbourhoods .TAK has an established rural footprint ofrural NPOs Networks, civil society and local churches. It is through this established relationship footprintthatweshallservethese communitiesusingthis relieffund responseas wealwayshave .

What We Need & What You Get

We need approximately R 100,000. This money will be spent as follows:

-Share relief food packageswiththe helpless like the old , orphans , widowsin rural areas. Research shows that more than2 million households go to bed hungry daily ….

-Helprural medical setupssheltersbased atrural civil societynetworksto assistin testingand tracing virus agents – especiallyareas not reached by government. Covid is ‘undetectedly’ rapidly gaining traction in these rural communities. We will set upoura ‘trackand traceapp’….to dealwith issue.

-Get immediate social-economic reliefto familiesof medical personnel dead in line of duty and child headed households.-Help getPPEs toTAK rural volunteerswho are thefoot soldiersin the fight against Covid 19.

-GetTruckwatertankersto get waterto water disadvantaged schools for sanitation, washing , etc] which normallyuse pit latrines before Covid 19 , but now must meet health protocol of ‘washing hands’in classetc …before they are allowed to reopen.

The Impact of your Solidarity

Your solidarity will help reopen many primary and high schools in rural south Africa which remain closed due to lack of running water to needed to meet Health protocols for reopening.

The donation will help us distribute more than 1000 food parcels to more than 500 households in the three poorest rural provinces of South Africa.

The TAK PHILA APP will help save lives in these communities by preventing the otherwise undetected spread of Covid 19.
