This project has been a work in progress for a number of years. I have written these 3 childrens books as a trilogy along with creating and designing most of the illustrations found in the books. I am now at a point where I really want to get them into print and online so I can share them with the world at large. These books will take the young reader into a world of fantasy and adventure where their own vivid imagination can fuel their creativity and lead them to explore the world through the eyes of an adventurer. One of my goals in this project is to make this book available to the many small island comunities I have visited because there never seemed to be stories about the islands they live on and the legends they hear about. These books hopefully will provide additional support into keeping the culture alive in the hearts and minds of the island children as they grow up.
The money raised will be used primarily for subsidizing the final publication and distribution of all 3 books combined as a trilogy. Some fees will be used to clean up some of the artwork if needed before rendering. Although, I hope I did a good job so it doesn't cost too much for that end. There are also fees related hard copy advertising and the launch event. Needless to say this project will actually cost more than what is being asked but as a labor of love so to speak it is only fair that I too make a personal investment to see it through wherever I may have cash shortfalls. My estimates on the overall budget exclusive of any labor on artwork or design, are closer to $8500US, but I have faith that if I don't give up, that it can happen with your help.
