SWITCH THE BAG – Say NO to plastic bags

Plastics are having a huge effect on marine species and ecosystems.

No matter where you live the choices you make everyday therefore shopping habits can have a huge impact on the pollution of our environment.

A few of us were inspired by Sir David Attenborough and Blue Planet II and set up a project seaking solutions to plastics pollution.

We established a group called Green People Of The Earth decided to approach shop owners where they still give single use plastic bags to their customers. We provide them with recycled and recyclable paper bags instead.

We intend to ask school children, parents and members of the community to draw and write messages to customers onto the paper bags.

The message can go both ways. We hope local businesses and shop owners will give away recyclable bags in the future and customers will demand the alternatives to plastic from them.

We need YOUR help to be able to buy more paper bags, tools and paints for our projects and distribute our unique paper bags.
