Surgery September 2013

Please help me raise money, so that I can get the surgery I need in September 2013!

My name is Sarah and I am 20 years old. I have been battling with ovarian cysts since 2010.  My first surgery was in January 2011, where they removed 3 cysts from my ovaries and I will undergo the same procedure again in September 2013.

After the operation in 2010 I had to go under very strong hormonal treatment (taking Depo-provera, provera, Visanne, etc.). After beginning  this treatment I gained 30 kg (66 pounds) in half a year. In order for me to be able to get surgery in September 2013, it is essential for me to lose a minimum of 20 kg (44 lbs).

This extreme weight gain has affected my body severely, causing: insulin resistance, high blood pressure, breathing problems. I have tried every kind of diet, regular cardio workout, and pills in order to reduce my weight, but it just doesn’t seem to help! My doctor told me that my insulin resistance will soon turn into type 2 diabetes if I don’t lose weight fast.

The reason I am trying to get funded is that I have found an intense program lasting 6 weeks, that specializes on losing weight in a healthy way! The program takes into account that I am suffering from insulin resistance and helps me plan a healthy diet for the future as well, in order for me not to put the weight on again. The program is filled with different exercise periods, teaching periods, and cooking classes.

Unfortunately my family can not pay for these expenses, and although I work as a student, I am not able to supply the funds for this program either!
