We’re raising £50,000 to support Kirtis on his road to recovery

As some of you might be aware, on Saturday 18th December 2021, Kirtis AKA Bally was involved in a severe car accident in Barbados and has been hospitalised. Since the accident Kirtis has lost sensation in his hands and lower body. He has also damaged his left lung and now requires a ventilator to assist with his breathing. Kirtis' mother has travelled to Barbados from the UK to support him during this challenging time.

Kirtis sustained a fracture to the cervical spine and has undergone surgery. He now needs extensive rehabilitative treatment to aid his recovery to his hands and lower body.

Kirtis will require 24-hour care and substantial rehabilitation for his injuries. We do not know how long his road to recovery will be, but we are asking for your help to begin his journey.

Unfortunately, medical treatment is costly and Barbados does not have the privilege of an NHS system. They do not have the facilities to treat Kirtis’s injuries therefore, he will need to travel abroad for treatment and extensive physiotherapy. Due to Kirtis’s current condition, he will need to travel by air ambulance with a medical team.

We are trying to raise funds for his transportation to a rehabilitation centre abroad and medical expenses.

Those of you who know Kirtis know that he is a very private person with a big heart. He has always been selfless, putting people he loves before himself. Kirtis remains positive and has kept his faith but, as time progresses it has started to affect him mentally.

Your help is needed to get the ball rolling as we do not want Kirtis to give up. He knows the severity of his injuries and feels discouraged, as anyone would be in this situation.

We are asking friends, family and anyone who reads this to come together to support Kirtis during this critical time in his life.
