Leslie and Joey lost an amazing husband, father, and friend on April 5, 2014.  Kevin Simpson died tragically after suffering an abdominal aortic aneurism while driving which led to his car crashing into an embankment off the freeway.  After many hours of surgery, he was able to say, "I love you," one last time to Leslie before taking his last breath.  Their family will never be the same.We want to band together to help lift the incredible financial burden that now rests upon Leslie.  A stay-at-home mom and mother to Joey, age 4, now bears the sole financial responsibility of providing for herself and her son.  She is currently in a program to earn her teaching credential, with two more years to go.  She is also Joey's preschool teacher!  The two of them have daily adventures, learning opportunities, and many field trips.  We hope that our financial donations will help this amazing life they share to continue without the worry and stress of money. There is a need for help in the immediate future with medical bills, funeral costs, house bills, and health insurance, just to name a few. If 1,000 people each gave $10, or 500 people each gave $20, we would reach our goal!  It's a small amount that would make a huge impact on Leslie and Joey's life. Let us each look at our own situation and help Leslie and Joey to whatever extent we can.  We are her village.  We are her support system.  We are her family.  Let's make this happen!
