All donations will be used to offer support to the victims of the shooting, the injured police officer, and their families. To donate, please click Contribute Now!
We are aware of and support all other fundraising efforts for the victims and their families. As the organizers of this fundraising campaign, we feel strongly that we have a responsibility to all the donors that the funds be allocated in an open and transparent process. We plan to work together with all other fundraising efforts to develop a transparent process of allocating funds to insure the highest integrity of the donations.
Shooting Tragedy
On August 5, 2012, a gunman entered a Gurudwara (the name for a Sikh place of worship) located near Milwaukee, Wisconsin and killed and wounded multiple Sikhs during prayer services. The gunman also wounded a heroic police officer, who selflessly risked his life to end the rampage. We are raising money to offer support to the victims of the shooting, the injured police officer, and their families
Donations
We anticipate that the Milwaukee Sikh community will require substantial financial support as they heal from this senseless tragedy, and therefore graciously seek donations to offer support to the victims of the shooting, the injured police officer, and their families.
We plan to disburse funds across all the families of all the deceased and wounded members of the Milwaukee community in a fair manner. We are in the process of identifying a non-profit who will administer the funds at no cost and will keep you posted as once we have finalized our decision.
We will work closely with the local Milwaukee Sikh community and its members to determine the most effective way to distribute donated funds. All donations are public and non-anonymously to ensure transparency.
There are many other ways to make financial contributions. We plan to coordinate with the other groups to distribute funds properly. Click here for a list of other ways to donate!

In addition to donating, it is also important to become more informed about the Sikh religion. There is a lot of misinformation about Sikhi that propogates a negative perception and violence towards our community.
