Support my dream of being a Volunteer at the Olympics!

Hello everybody,

First and foremost, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my small and humble request for funding.

My name is Farah and I am a first generation Canadian of Haitian decent volunteering at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. It has always been my dream to be part of the Olympics as a volunteer to help people organize this special event. The Olympics to me transmits a magical feeling and spirit where everything is possible when one perseveres. Being part of this event will be a realization of my childhood dream. While growing up, I was passionate about watching the Olympics and since I was never really good in sports I always told myself that I would one day participate in the Olympics in one way or another. And now, the day has come where I am finally able to be part of this event as a volunteer. However, before my dream can become reality, I am seeking your help in raising funds to help purchase the plane ticket as well as my food and lodging in Sochi for a period of one month. As a sign of gratitude for your help, I am offering to reward the donor of $500 with a unique souvenir from the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
