SUMMER SCHEME

(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥ ARTISTS IN TRANSIT IS RAISING £££ TO FUND SUMMER ART WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN ♥

Our summer scheme forms a part of the Love to Learn and KLS's summer programme that offers children and families an exciting programme of summer activities for free.

Love To Learn is an educational support charity for new communities and children of refugee backgrounds . AIT is joining them this summer to run 5 sessions of art workshops to 20 primary school children.

Our art sessions will introduce students to working artists in London and give them the opportunity to spend a fun day outside (weather permitting) with their friends and family trying new things , having fun and getting creative!

We are very lucky to receive funding for this summer scheme from Battersea Summer Scheme however this year due to cuts we are raising additional funds for extra support , volunteer expenses and kids lunches.

Please see our breakdown below:

£500 - Lunch Budget for 20 children and volunteers. ( This year in the lead up to our summer scheme Love to Learn's council funding was cut , meaning our lunch funds have fallen short. )

£600 - Project worker pay. (This allows us to increase our capacity of children from 15 -20 without safety concerns).

£200 - Volunteer Expenses. (Allowing volunteers to travel and eat for free when attending our sessions).
